Workers' compensation in New Jersey

Most employees in New Jersey have workers' compensation coverage from their employers, and this form of insurance offers benefits to a worker who suffers from job-related illnesses or injuries. The type of benefits that a worker receives is based on an injury or illness, and an employee may be given medical benefits, permanent partial disability benefits and temporary or permanent total disability benefits. An employee's family may also receive death benefits if a work-related fatality occurs.

5 teens from New Jersey high school injured in car crash

Five teenagers from Mainland Regional High School were injured on Aug. 30 when an accident occurred in Hamilton Township. The five girls were traveling to a charity soccer game when the Route 40 collision happened. One girl reportedly suffered serious injuries.

New Jersey limo bus accident leaves 1 dead

Area news sources report that a two-vehicle accident in Woodbine at around 12:40 p.m. on Aug. 30 left one person dead at the scene of the accident and another person injured. Upper Township EMS transported the injured individual to Shore Memorial Hospital with injuries considered to be minor in nature.
