Man killed after tire flies off car

A man in New Jersey was killed on March 26 after a vehicle lost its tire and caused a four-car crash. The fatal car accident took place in Denville while the 77-year-old victim was traveling in an Audi along Interstate 80 with his 66-year-old wife. Although the man's wife was injured in the crash, her injuries were not life threatening.

Man rescued by firefighters after collision with car-carrier

New Jersey State Police say that a multi-vehicle accident involving a car-carrier resulted in one driver being trapped inside his car on March 13. The accident took place along westbound Route 80 when a car-carrier collided into two passenger cars near Exit 62. According to reports, there might have been more vehicles involved, but authorities did not immediately release an exact count.

Police and prosecutor investigating death of New Jersey bicyclist

The police department in Paramus, New Jersey, and the Bergen County Prosecutor's office continue to look into the accident the killed one bicyclist and injured another. Two men, ages 23 and 24, were heading east on Midland Avenue in Paramus when an eastbound Jeep Grand Cherokee struck them, according to a police news release.

New Jersey explosion injures gas workers, firefighters, and EMTs

A gas explosion that leveled a house in Ocean County, New Jersey injured seven gas workers, six firefighters and two EMTs. Police car video revealed the explosion that completely destroyed a home in the Cedar Run neighborhood and sent debris high into the air.
