New Jersey man dies in motorcycle crash day before his birthday

New Jersey State Police reported that a 27-year-old man from Phillipsburg died in a two-motorcycle accident on County Route 609. He was declared dead at the accident scene in Hope Township on April 16, the day before his birthday.

Man falls asleep while driving, causes chain reaction accident

New Jersey State Police reported that they believe a chain reaction collision on the Garden State Parkway was caused by a driver from New York City who fell asleep behind the wheel. The accident caused serious injuries to at least one person and required the complete closure of the northbound side of the road for a substantial amount of time.

Over half of teen car accidents linked to distractions

Parents in New Jersey teaching their teenagers to drive should warn their children about distracted driving. A study prepared by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety found that 58 percent of teen car accidents resulted from distractions.
