Police and prosecutor investigating death of New Jersey bicyclist

The police department in Paramus, New Jersey, and the Bergen County Prosecutor's office continue to look into the accident the killed one bicyclist and injured another. Two people died as a result of a head-on collision on Route 49, and two others were hurt after the Aug. 8 two-vehicle accident. The accident occurred near the old Penn-Salem Marina around 12:45 p.m. in the eastbound lane of Route 49 when a 2005 Toyota Corolla traveling in the west lane crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a 2013 Ford Escape.
