Tesla Car Company Under Investigation After Man’s Work Injury

Law Offices of James M. Curran

Companies aspire and strive to meet customer demands for their product. To meet high demands, sometimes production is sped up. With a faster output on the assembly line, it can raise the risk of a serious work injury. An injury would not only stall the employee’s ability to work, but potentially stall production for the company if work safety becomes a concern. In order to avoid injury on the job, it is imperative for company owners in New Jersey to consider the safety of their workers during manufacture.

Tesla, the renowned electric car company situated on the west coast has come under investigation recently after a man was injured during the making of a car. It is reported the man broke his jaw when he was hit by a skid carrier at the assembly plant. At the time of the incident, the worker was employed by a subcontractor hired by Tesla.

The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health has initiated an investigation to look into the work safety of the company’s facilities. Citations may be issued if a violation of safety is found. The electric car company is accused of mislabeling and miscounting injuries in the workplace as the company has increased its production to meet target goals.

To avoid a work injury, there are safety regulations to be followed in a workplace, especially on a production assembly line. However, injuries still occur regardless of safety procedures. When one is injured on the job, unexpected medical bills can put a strain on the family, especially if the injured cannot work to earn a paycheck while recovering. If an injury occurs on a job, the employee may be entitled to workers’ compensation to help cover unexpected expenses. If facing medical and other expenses after an accident in New Jersey, it would prove beneficial to seek the help of an experienced attorney to begin the filing process for workers’ comp.
